I was collapsed on the freezing tile floor. My left leg was completely immobilized, radiating a blinding, agonizing pain that shot straight up my spine. And this entire nightmare had started simply because… I gently suggested the dinner stew was too salty for my father-in-law Barron’s medical condition.
When Luke walked in, my foolish heart thought the man who once swore to protect me would immediately call an ambulance.
